synchrocopter

A type of biaxial helicopter that has two main rotor axes very close to each other and inclined outward. They intermesh under a small angle. The configuration is similar to the coaxial, but the rotors are at the same height, making it a more compact arrangement than the coaxial one. See rotorcraft configuration.
